The Three Mouseketeers

This past weekend we used our Cast Holiday Tickets to take the grandkids and their parents to Disney Hollywood Studios. (Formerly MGM Studios) We had glorious weather and light crowds. Had a fabulous lunch at Hollywood and Vine, an unlimited buffet of high quality and great variety. We used our 50% off coupon and really felt we got our money's worth. The best choice. We enjoyed the Great Movie Ride, The Muppet 3D show, the Star Tours simulator, Beauty and the Beast, the Little Mermaid show, and Eric and Jake took on the Aerosmith's Rock 'n' Roll Coaster. After having our professional picture taken, we left the family there to do one more show. A great time was had by all. And here we see the three mouseketeers to prove it.

Hard Freeze

Glory Bush has lost it's glory and the Staghorn is brown.

Florida experienced a hard freeze this past week. We had three consecutive days of below freezing temperatures. It's the first time since 1988 that this has happened. On Thursday, the birdbath had a quarter inch of ice on it, but Friday morning it was frozen solid. We managed to bring in some ornamentals and cover a few others. Even though some plants look like they have been painted brown, we have hopes that they will come back. If not, less to water. For nature, I am grateful.

Happy New Year

We all look forward to putting a good spin on the beginning of the New Year with hopes that the cloud that hangs in the news daily will lift and the sun will shine on us again with prosperity and health. I like to look to nature and how it renews itself. Here, I share the beautiful orchid that belongs to a friend of mine and I also raise a glass to toast your New Year, that it may bring you all the things you need, as well as a bigger piece of Pizza!

Visits to Nana's

The joy of the Season is magnified by the visits from the Grandchildren. And something about a hole in the dirt seems irresistible. Jack 4, Chloe 9, and Jake 11 all enjoy the digging and the posing.
We haven't hit China, yet.

The Cheesiest

We had a wonderful family gathering the Saturday before Christmas at my folk's place in Jacksonville. Everyone looked marvelous and the breakfast buffet was the cheesiest! We had cheesy egg casserole, cheese grits, hash brown casserole with cheese and ham. A good time was had by all. The game gifts were great. Everyone fell in love with the singing puppy. It was great to have Mom and Dad enjoy another holiday with the family. For this I am grateful.
